Event Type: Adult Program Age Group(s): Adult, Teen Date: 3/5/2023 Start Time: 1:30 PM End Time: 3:00 PM Description: Join Certified Master Naturalist from the Historic Rivers Chapter of the Virginia Master Naturalists, Mary Jo (MJ) OBryan as she teaches you how to enjoy and more accurately observe the natural world with the help of free apps available to download on your Android or Apple mobile device. DUring this program, you will learn how to use Merlin Bird ID, eBird, iNaturalist, Seek and a few other inexpensive apps. Ms. OBryan will show how the data the app captures from users helps scientists and conservationists and she'll have a few activities where attendees can practice with the apps.
Library: Tabb Library Map Come with a fully charged cell phone, iPad or Tablet. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an adult.
