Description:
 Meditation has proven benefits for health and well-being. This course introduces students to the philosophy and practice of mindfulness meditation. Each session includes a brief talk, a guided meditation practice, and time for questions/discussion. Practice with the concepts introduced each week is encouraged and audio guided meditations are provided by email after each session to assist with establishing a practice. No prior experience is needed. Audio from each session will be recorded for training purposes.

Sept. 10 topics: What is mindfulness? Establishing an anchor
Sept. 17 topic: Mindfulness of emotions
Sept. 24 topic: Mindfulness of thoughts
Oct. 1 topics: Practicing in the world. Compassion and forgiveness of self and others

Register once for all 4 sessions. A signed waiver and release are required.
