Title: The Great Gatsby
Author/Presenter: F. Scott Fitzgerald
Review: I was very excited to read this classic, and it did not disappoint. Although intimidated by the first couple of pages, the text got much easier for me and I was able to enjoy the story the more I read. I liked the fact that the narrator was not the main character, so we got an unbiased look at who Gatsby really was. Sometimes Nick, the narrator, hated Gatsby and other times he was the only one on his side. I noticed the way Fitzgerald used color to give the story life and I thought it was a great idea to use different colors to symbolize different emotions or habits or aspects of life. Overall, due to the style of writing, I cannot say I grasped every detail of the novel, so I do not love this book as many others do. I do, however think it was a very strong and deep book that I wish had been longer.
