Homeschoolers at the Library

The Tabb Library is offering a new program for homeschooled children in grades 3-5 (ages 9 to 11). The program will meet from 1-2 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 12, Nov. 19, Dec. 3, Dec. 10 and Dec. 17 in the Tabb meeting room. This session is centered around the book "A Brush With Magic." Come and listen to the story and enjoy learning about China.

Due to inclement weather the Nov. 12 class has been canceled. The program will now start on Nov. 19 and has been extended to conclude on Dec. 17.

First Tuesday Bookworms

The First Tuesday Booksworms are an adult book discussion group which normally meet from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on the first Tuesday of each month. Call the Tabb Reference desk at 890-5120 for more information. The group will discuss "The Christmas Pearl" by Dorothea Benton Frank on December 3, 2009. Please note date has been changed from Dec. 1 to Dec. 3.

Second Saturday at Seven Concert Series - Kim Person & Lana Puckett

Join us for an entertaining evening of music at the Tabb Library on the second Saturday of the month at 7 p.m. Kim Person and Lana Puckett will be performing a mix of country, folk and holiday music. Performances are free of charge and open to the public. The Tabb Library is located at the intersection of Hampton Highway (VA Rt. 134) and Long Green Boulevard, across from the Victory YMCA. For more information, contact the Library at 890-5120. The Saturdays at Seven Concert Series is sponsored by the Friends of the York County Public Library.

Ring in the holidays with a special holiday story time at 10:30 a.m. in the Tabb Library meeting room. Enjoy a festive story, songs, and a craft. Recommended for ages 3-7, but all ages are welcome. Registration is not required.
