Johnson, the Mellon Foundation Postdoctoral Fellow with The Lemon Project at William & Mary, for an introductory talk about reclaiming black community narratives and an accompanying panel discussion with representatives of the Friends of the Reservation. The panel will discuss how descendant families have reclaimed the narrative of the Reservation and how their work is instructive for other people interested in documenting and interpreting the histories of Black communities.
