 When you think of bats, what comes to mind? Spooky winged creatures flying through the night or valuable pollinators and eaters of insects?

October 24-31 is Bat Week, an annual, international celebration of the role of bats in nature. Join Virginia Master Naturalist Barbara Neis as she teaches you about bat identification, local bat species, and the overall importance of bats in our ecosystem. We will also learn about how to encourage bats’ presence. Program registration encouraged but not required.
