Come for beer, books and an insight into the process of writing a book. Enjoy local beers at Echo Brewing, 600 Briggs Street, Erie, and meet local authors Buzzy Jackson, John Shors, and Carter Wilson. The authors will share insights into their creative process. There will be give aways and trivia questions. This is a great chance to explore the many cultural opportunities our community has to offer. Attendees must purchase their own beer. Buzzy Jackson is the author of books about blues music, family history, and the meaning of life and is currently writing a historical novel of World War II. She has a PhD in History from UC Berkeley and is a Research Affiliate at the Center of the American West at CU Boulder. In 2018, Buzzy will be an Edith Wharton Writer In Residence at The Mount, Wharton's historic home in Lenox, MA. www.BuzzyJackson.com John Shors graduated from Colorado College and spent time in Kyoto, Japan teaching English. He later became a newspaper reporter in his hometown, Des Moines, Iowa, winning several statewide awards in journalism. John then moved to Boulder, Colorado, and helped launch GroundFloor Media, now one of the state’s largest public relations firms. John's the author of seven novels, including his latest "Unbound", which have won multiple awards and been translated into 26 languages. USA Today bestselling author Carter Wilson explores the depths of psychological tension and paranoia in his dark, domestic thrillers. His latest novel is "Mister Tender's Girl." Carter is a two-time winner of both the Colorado Book Award and the International Book Award, and his novels have received multiple starred reviews from Publishers Weekly, Booklist, and Library Journal.
