Event Details

Celebrate Women's History Month as historian Dave Lively follows one family through the turmoil of The Civil War, Westward Expansion, and the Panic of 1893. These well-known historical events take on new meaning with this story of Grand Lake homesteaders Annie and Kittie Harbison, sisters who operate a dairy ranch to supply fresh milk to the expanding Grand Lake population. This program takes place at the Erie Community Center. Dave Lively is a historian in Grand Lake, Colorado whose family homesteaded what is now the Grand Lake entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park. He appears in the PBS documentary, “The Living Dream: 100 Years of Rocky Mountain National Park” and conducts historic tours and seminars for Rocky Mountain National Park, Rocky Mountain Conservancy, and the Trail River Ranch Education Center.
