In celebration of National Coming Out Day, Riverside Library will be hosting a poetry slam! Everyone (age 13 and up) is invited to share a poem, or just come to watch and support our local poets. A Poetry Slam is an opportunity for people to share their original poetry with a wider audience. Our SLAM is an multi-age event, topics and language will not be censored; other than that limitation, any type of original poem or prose is welcome. Participants will have three minutes to perform each piece and take a shot at winning a prize. Refreshments and snacks will be provided. Come and see how much fun poetry can be!
