How to participate
Using the Gameboard
  • Visit your local library and pick up a free gameboard any time between May 21 and July 18.
  • Start counting the time you spend reading.
  • Mark your progress on the gameboard.
  • Every time you read 6 hours, bring your gameboard into any Pima County Public Library and get a prize.

Summer Reading promotes the love of reading, helps maintain reading skills over the summer, and provides free activities for the entire family.

When you read with your child, you both get credit

Join Summer Reading for Adults and log the time you read by yourself or with your child.

Prizes

All prizes are available while supplies last.

  • 6 hours sticker or button
  • 12 hours pencil and adventure pass
  • 18 hours activity booklet and crayons
  • 24 hours reading patch, certificate, and Tucson Toros ticket
Extra Credit

Read 6 extra hours and earn a book and a ticket to Breakers Water Park.
