Jr. Friends Summer Reading Program Volunteer Training

Attention 5th-8th graders: If you would like to volunteer this summer at the Library, please come to this training to become a Jr. Friend! Jr. Friends help set up for programs, count people in programs, and assist with crafts. You will also have the opportunity to register to be one of the puppeteers at the annual Jr. Friends puppet show, happening July 17.

Enjoy various theme-related activities designed especially for 4th-6th graders. Participants may use glue, dirt, sand, glitter and scissors. Skills: Ability to listen, follow instructions, and cut light cardboard. Also, the ability to apply liquid glue, sprinkle sand and glitter onto surface, and work on a project without a parent's assistance. Registration is required for EACH week. Activities vary week to week. Limit 15 children.

Danny�s Dinosaur Visits Swanson Branch

Danny's Dinosaur will visit us at storytime! He will share his adventures, give high fives or hugs to anyone who wants one, and will stay long enough to take pictures. We’ll also make a craft so you may remember his visit to the Library. Remember to bring your cameras or phones to get a picture of your child/children with Danny the Dinosaur!
