Type 2 diabetes is the most common of all diabetic cases. It can happen at any time during a person's life. In Nebraska, 78% of the Memorial Stadium could be filled with individuals who have pre-diabetes. To raise awareness, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Health Disparities and Health Equity (OHDHE) is providing diabetes education.

This discussion will address: risk factors and assessments, signs and symptoms, complications, and prevention. Additional screenings, such as blood pressure (BP) and body mass index (BMI), will be provided. All screenings are free and will be provided to participants on a first come, first serve basis.
