 Each year, Omaha Public Library (OPL) encourages the community to join together in reading one book as part of the Omaha Reads campaign. This year, the community of Omaha selected ‘In Cold Blood’ by Truman Capote.

Join us at KANEKO, 1111 Jones St., to hear author and Random House editor-at-large David Ebershoff speak about Truman Capote. Ebershoff works with Truman Capote's estate where he oversees the Capote publications for Random House. He was the editor of ‘The Complete Stories of Truman Capote,’ ‘Summer Crossing’ and ‘Portraits and Observations.’

Bio: David Ebershoff is Vice President and Executive Editor at Random House, where he publishes a wide-range of writers and oversees the publications of Truman Capote. In 2013 he became the first editor in history to have edited the Pulitzer Prize winners in both fiction and history in the same year. Ebershoff is also an award-winning and bestselling novelist. His most recent novel, ‘The 19th Wife,’ was a New York Times bestseller and was made into a television movie. Ebershoff teaches in the graduate writing program at Columbia University and lives in New York City.
