Common Soil: Tomato and Pepper Seed Saving

Event Type: Adult Programs
Age Group(s): Adult
Date: 7/24/2013
Start Time: 6:30 PM
End Time: 7:30 PM
Description:
Learn how to save your tastiest garden delectables with this class! For instance, tomatoes carry seed born disease and have a hard outer coating; fermentation breaks down the coating and protects against disease. Peppers are very easy to save, but they cross rather readily. Class size limited due to hands-on activities. Class taught by John Pollack; his family has had heirloom seeds for generations.
