 Jane Austen's 237th birthday will be celebrated at Omaha Public Library's 9th annual Jane Austen Tea. This year's guest speaker will be Sheryl Craig, who will talk about "The Torments of Rice Pudding and Apple Dumplings: Jane Austen and Food." Craig has a Ph.D. in British literature from the University of Kansas, where she wrote her dissertation on Jane Austen and economics. Sheryl has published more than two dozen articles in Jane Austenís Regency World magazine and has also published in Persuasions, Persuasions On-Line, and The Explicator.

The afternoon will include light English fare and participants are encouraged to bring their favorite teacups. The Bookworm bookstore will have books and holiday gift items available for purchase.
