Description:
 Join us for Tai Chi class, an evidence-based fall prevention program for older adults. Classes will be held Monday and Thursday mornings April through August. This is a progressive program and participants must register to attend the entire session.
Classes include warm-up, learning an 8-form core Tai Chi routine and cool-down exercises.
The goals of the training are to improve postural stability, control of body positioning, gait initiation, movement symmetry and coordination as well as to build lower extremity strength.
To meet the needs and performance capabilities of individual participants, movements will progress from seated, chair-supported and sit and stand practices.
*There will be no classes on May 3, May 24, May 28, June 7, June 28, July 19, August 2 or August 9.
**Please register for the April 23 class by April 26.
