DESCRIPTION;ENCODING=QUOTED-PRINTABLE:Join us for Tai Chi class, an evidence-based fall prevention program for older adults. Classes will be held Monday and Thursday mornings April through August. This is a progressive program and participants must register to attend the entire session.=0D=0AClasses include warm-up, learning an 8-form core Tai Chi routine and cool-down exercises.=0D=0AThe goals of the training are to improve postural stability, control of body positioning, gait initiation, movement symmetry and coordination as well as to build lower extremity strength.=0D=0ATo meet the needs and performance capabilities of individual participants, movements will progress from seated, chair-supported and sit and stand practices.=0D=0A*There will be no classes on May 3, May 24, May 28, June 7, June 28, July 19, August 2 or August 9.=0D=0A**Please register for the April 23 class by April 26.
