Join us for the 23rd Youth Services Symposium. This year we are focusing on teens going mobile at your library. We will start the day with our keynote presenter, Antony John, the author of Five Flavors of Dumb that was nominated for a Buckeye Book Award.

Linda Braun, Technology Guru will be discussing Teens Going Mobile @ Your Library:

What happens when you can have a teen book discussion group from inside the book?
What does it look like if your non-fiction collection is primarily made up of apps?
What if teens are coming to the library with their iPads or Kindle Fires in hand looking for resources and readers' advisory?

During this session led by Linda W. Braun, attendees with have the chance to talk about integrating tablets and mobile devices into their full array of services for teens. Their consider the world of social reading - inside book book discussions - and how apps can play an important role in the life of a library collection.

Antony John, author of Five Flavors of Dumb
Linda W. Braun, an educational technology consultant for LEO: Librarians & Educators Online where she provides project management, training, and consulting services to public libraries and schools on a variety of topics. Linda has a Masters of Science Degree in Library and Information Science from Simmons College and a Masters of Education with a specialization in Technology in Education from Lesley University. She currently teaches for Simmons College Graduate School of Library and Information Science. Formerly she taught for Lesley University, Graduate School of Education.
