Library: Maryland State Library1:00-2:30pm The past year, full of pandemic restrictions and racial upheaval, has been a challenging one for teens as many have experienced isolation, anxiety, confusion, and a disconnect with supportive adults or mentors. These challenges have been especially true for youth within the LGBTQ+ community. As we look toward re-engaging with our tweens and teens in our communities in upcoming months, come to this virtual 90 minute session to hear from a panel of library staff who have designed successful programs and initiatives for LGBTQ+ youth in a variety of ways. Learning Objectives/Participants will be able to: --Identify one potential community partner for LGBTQ+ programming. --Name at least two strategies for successful LGBTQ+ programming. --Describe at least one way to be an ally to this community through library services.
