Re-envisioning Resilience: Become the narrator of your story

Event Type: Training
Date: 4/26/2021
Start Time: 1:00 PM
Resilience has become a popular topic in the past several years. A quick Google search brings back countless resources recommending a variety of ways for individuals to “bounce back” stronger than ever. But traditional views of resilience and focusing on perseverance and individual self-care is often not enough and can leave people feeling isolated.
By utilizing tools and techniques to better understand ourselves; our strengths, our values, and our connections, we can learn how to bolster resilience in ourselves and others. Join us for a discussion about how we might re-envision resilience and learn together how to reframe our personal narratives.
Presenter: Christine Kreger is the Professional Development Consultant for the Colorado State. Her search for a better understanding of resilience uncovered interrelated components including hope, purpose, connection, and wellbeing, and she discovered that resilience is not a quality people have or don’t have but is a set of processes that can be learned and practiced.
