 YALSA Transforming Teen Services: "Ages & Stages: Youth Development"

In order to work effectively with youth, library staff need a basic understanding of how youth develop, their needs, and their assets.
This virtual workshop summarizes key child and youth development research and focuses on how to create programs that are appropriate for the youth with whom you work.
Virtual session.
Workshop Outcomes -- Participants will be able to:
-Understand the cultural concept of childhood in the United States.
-Identify the various ages and stages of youth development.
-Design developmentally appropriate activities and learning environments.
