Celebrate historical works of art through replicas from the National Gallery of Art, Washington D.C.
Library: East County Regional Library Lee County Library System Locations On Tuesday November 3, 2009 at 4:30 pm we will be discussing Painting the Portrait of Mah-to-toh-pa, by George Catlin (1796-1872) and Black Hawk's “Sans Arc Lakota” (c. 1832-1890). Explore the lives of American Indians and Frontier Cultures through these works. To see the replicas in person and write down your thoughts in preparation for the program please see the East County Regional Library’s Young Adult Area. The program content is provided by the National Endowment for the Humanities and presented by Cameo Hinman. Art supplies are provided by the Friends of the East County Regional Library. Grades 6–12.
