This series will help participants identify ancestors, including tips for organizing information and conducting research using online sources, various repositories, and a variety of print materials.
Session 1: Evaluating and keeping track of collected information. Are additional facts needed? Is the information reliable? Is it easily accessible when you need it?
Session 2: Identifying an ancestor’s location using courthouse records.
Session 3: Using censuses and census substitutes to “fill in the blanks”.
Session 4: Identifying major records in immigration research.
