Audacious Hula Hoops Workshop and Performance

When: Wednesday, May 29, 2013 - 3:30 PM - 5:30 PM
Where: Woods Branch at Woods Program Room (basement)

You don't want to miss this after-school event. A workshop for students grades 5-9 who are interested in hoop dance and a grand finale including a performance the Audacious Hula Hoop Troupe. The free workshop is limited to 25 participants. NO experience necessary and hula hoops are provided. All others are welcome to come spend 2 hours filled with fun and exciting moves that spin a hula hoop like you've never seen before. Registration required for the workshop.

Read, White & Zoo! A Benefit for The Grosse Pointe Public Library
Presented by The Grosse Pointe Library Foundation.
Private Zoo Evening for GPPL Patrons Exclusively
Get up close and personal with the animals, take a ride on the railroad or a spin on the carousel, mingle with friends and family…the Zoo is yours to explore and enjoy.

Tickets include admission, a southern-style BBQ, open bar and special treats for the young and young at heart.
Adults 18 & up - $100
Children - $50
Groups of 10 or more may pre-order tickets at a 10% discount and receive reserved seating.
Tickets will be available early May.

Summer Story Time (WOODS)

Stories, songs, and lots of fun for preschoolers. All story times start at 10:30 am and last thirty minutes. All ages welcome. Drop-In. No registration necessary.

Dog Day Afternoons

IT'S ALL ABOUT DOGS, KIDS AND READING! Come out and meet the Library's Dog Teams. The program is free and recommended for 2nd through 5th graders. Every visitor will have a chance to read to our furry reading buddies from the Library's own Reader Dog Program, and you can register for the program that starts up in September 2013. Don't miss this! Dog hugs and kisses are free!
