Writing Instructor Carol Madar facilitates a special workshop. Using the fall and winter holidays as backdrop for inspiration participants will explore a rich variety of creative writing genres: mystery, short story, poetry, children's literature, essay, holiday memories and memoir. Silly or serious, musings or mischievous, chilling or comfort fare, this workshop encourages crafting written pieces that will focus on holiday themes and settings.

New and seasoned writers alike are encouraged to participate in this relaxed and supportive creative environment. Written works might even turn into gifts for family and friends!

Carol Madar has given creative writing instruction in a number of venues throughout CNY for over 20 years.

Participants are encouraged to hang on to any work produced in this workshop as you're invited to read your work and hear the work of other patrons from other library creative workshops at a creative event being planned for Spring of 2010; date TBA.
